Summer Hibiscus Tea Lemonade
Nothing tells the heat to kick rocks better than a tasty cold beverage.
This is one of my favorite drinks for a hang on the front porch in the summer heat. Hibiscus can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol and decrease inflammation. It is rich in antioxidants and has a delicious, fruity tartness that complements flavors like citrus, mint, and ginger. Perfect for a hot-ass summer day!

Ingredients:
1 bag hibiscus tea (or try a blend like Porch Swing Punch from High Garden)
1 cup water, heated to 200-212°F
1 cup room temperature water
2 packets or 3/4 tsp. stevia sweetener
2 Tbsp. lemon juice (more if you like it tart)
Ice
Instructions:
Pour 1 cup hot water over the hibiscus tea bag and let steep for 6-8 min.
In a pitcher, add the brewed tea, water and stevia and stir until everything is dissolved
Add the lemon and stir a bit more.
Pour over ice and serve.
Serves 2.
Don’t Like Stevia?
For some people, stevia can taste bitter. Stevia needs something bitter or acidic to hide this weird quality, so this tea lemonade is perfect. But if you can still taste it, my new favorite sweetener is this Lakanto Monkfruit with Allulose Sweetener. I have been using it more and more lately, and I love it.
